From the 13th to the 17th centuries, several significant monuments have been preserved, such as the late Byzantine tower at Agia Marina, the "Frankish Bridge" over the Melanas River, and the ruins of the church of Saint Nicholas with 17th-century frescoes in Kokkino.
Small churches can be found in the caves of Kopaida, such as the Church of Agia Triada (13th century) in the location Vystika, and the Church of Saint Vlasios or the Life-Giving Spring (Zoodochos Pigi), which features a built iconostasis from the 14th century and exceptional frescoes from the Macedonian school of the 16th century.
Nearby, there is also a cave containing the church of Saint Nicholas the Young (17th century) on the rock in the Akraifnio area.
