Agios Dimitrios is a lowland village located almost at the heart of the Copais plain, south of Orchomenus. It is considered one of the most fertile villages in Boeotia. Together with the neighboring community of Mavrogia, it forms the Municipal Community of Agios Dimitrios. The village takes its name from its patron saint, Saint Demetrios.
